AJ Institute of Engineering & Technology is promoted by Laxmi Memorial Education Trust(R.) was established in the year 1991 in memory of Late Laxmi Shetty, beloved mother of Dr. A. J. Shetty, who is the President and Managing Director of the Trust. He is also a pioneer entrepreneur, educationalist and philanthropist of Dakshina Kannada.
A J Institute of Technology, Mangaluru, is approved by AICTE and affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi was established in the year 2016. It has well established lab and research centre in Basic Science Department.
AJIET is the only Engineering college located in the heart of the city. The campus is located witgin 5km Mangaluru city radius on the National Highway NH-66 in the Mangalore to Udupi highway. The campus over 12 acres with a healthy environment, is very near to all modes of transportation.
The A.J Institute of Engineering and Technology, which within a short span of time has emerged as the jewel, anybody graduating from our institutions shall not be found wanting in any respect and will not fall short of any expectations in terms of knowledge, skill and capabilities.

Department of Civil Engineering was established in the year 2016 with the inception of AJIET, Mangaluru. The Department is offering under graduate courses (B.E) in Civil Engineering with an intake of 60 and Affiliated to VTU Belagavi. Department conducts various seminars, Technical talks, Industrial visits etc. It is well supported by experienced and highly dedicated faculty members who always motivate students with latest technical advancements in the field and nourish them to come out with flying colors.
To be a centre of excellence in Civil Engineering education and research, empower the lives of individuals to professionally competent and highly qualified to meet the needs of global changes and market demands and partnership for community development.
M1: To impart student’s strong theoretical and practical skills through the state-of-the-art concepts and fundamentals of various Civil engineering subjects.

This workshop will disseminate the knowledge to the participants regarding Remote Sensing (RS) and Geographic Information Science (GIS) and also it’s applications in Civil engineering. The objective of the workshop is to give an exposure to the participants to the emerging trends and technologies in remote sensing. They will get an opportunity to share their thoughts and extend their knowledge with the domain experts in various fields of remote sensing, coming from various renowned organizations.
Technical lectures and hands on sessions will be handled by eminent resource persons from esteemed academic institutions and industries.
